Moving into Christmas with table decorations

November and December weeks slowly take us into the Christmas mood. We get the gifts carefully chosen, purchased and soon we start wrapping them for the loved ones.

We also have started decorating our homes for Christmas and have created beautiful Christmas decorations around the house. It is time to think about Christmas party and how to make the family and friends gathering unique and worth remembering.

Christmas table decorations

The last years make us more aware of sustainability and natural materials that can be re-used, re-purposed and that stay with us for long. This is why I believe it is worth investing in neutral quality tableware and great china. The linen or cotton tablecloth and napkins are as important as the wine or  water glass.

The neutral cotton napkin clothes are timeless and very versatile in a lot of table settings. From very traditional to modern and minimalistic table decorations, not only for the Christmas party.

Table decorations with napkins

In the photos below you can see a step by step tutorial for one of many napkins arrangements. This one is great for putting the cutlery in an elegant way.

What you need is:

  • A set of cotton napkins. Here you can see the recycled cotton cream napkins with khaki green decorative stitching. The regular size of the napkins is 18 x 18 inches or 45 x 45 cm.
  • A nice long ribbon. Here you can see a cotton ribbon in the neutral yet chic taupe beige.

Please follow the photos to see the how to make a simple napkin fold.

The ribbon is a nice chic addition and you can easily change the table setting from one party to another by replacing the ribbon color of texture. How the velvet ribbon could elevate the Christmas table decorations.

Warm country Christmas table setting

In the last few weeks I have been sharing in Instagram at cb_creative_boutique my  inspirations for Christmas table decorations. I would be happy that you  use some ideas at your homes. Below you will find a fresh idea for the table setting which I set up at my country home.

The winter flowers are unique, from Amaryllis to Paperwhites and other daffodils, from  bulb flowers in pots to Cyclamen plants. I fall in love in Hellebores. I put them into a vintage wine cooler and used this flower arrangement  as my table centrepiece. Such a neutral flower arrangement needs a neutral set of Christmas table decorations, and hence the cream napkins, taupe ribbon, white china.

You can see on the photos how it looks all  together.
